In the 19th minute Luiz Guilherme Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Garaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th match minute, Figueira SC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Arósio to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonsinho Donatello during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermegildo Donzel to strike the kick off in the second half. Enrique Garaona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Borges in the 51st minute of play. If Luiz Guilherme Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Borges in the 59th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Enrique Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Afonsinho Donatello got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Enrique Garaona was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelo Medeiros. Luiz Guilherme Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Enrique Garaona made a huge save. 70 minutes into the game, Alvaro Rameriz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Los Andes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Figueira SC FSCMZ booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Marcelo Medeiros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Garaona but with some difficulty. Cosme Egun hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Figueira SC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Lucian struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Gino Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. In the 78th minute, Afonsinho Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Quilino in the 79th minute of play forced Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gino Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Garaona having to interfere. When Figueira SC FSCMZ's Geovani Borges in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Los Andes's goalie prevented a goal. Afonsinho Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87thth minute of the game Ermegildo Donzel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Club Atletico Los Andes's Enrique Garaona got control of the ball when Simão Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Figueira SC FSCMZ and the Club Atletico Los Andes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Figueira SC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Paiva hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Figueira SC FSCMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
