Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5601, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frederico Tasso started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Real Unión CF's Gutierre Chamorro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Veiga was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Real Unión CF's zone, Giuseppe Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Neuer came out of the goal and Giuseppe Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Giuseppe Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geofredo Buyolo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Emanuel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fernando Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilon Rozano in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Gutierre Chamorro came free, but Fernando Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Goiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Neuer having to make a save. Fernando Veiga came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Unión CF's Estavan Bichesne. But to his dismay, Estavan Bichesne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gutierre Chamorro to make the kick off. Diego da Cunha hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Odilon Rozano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Fernando Veiga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Guga Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Neuer was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Guga Goiano put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Neuer. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fernando Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gutierre Chamorro in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Guga Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Neuer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Frederico Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Tasso couldn't finish the play. When Gutierre Chamorro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Real Unión CF fans jumped to their feet. Corinthians Paulista's Luisão Prado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Neuer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Corinthians Paulista reached it. Estavan Bichesne kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
