Agnaldo Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmine Latini was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Rodolfo Cearense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ademir Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Carmine Latini made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Sampaio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carmine Latini. Agnaldo Sampaio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Sampaio in the 29th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Carmine Latini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Latini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodolfo Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Rodolfo Cearense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carmine Latini. That made the score 3-2 after 37 minutes of play. Merceron United's Damiano Perazzolo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

After 66 minutes, Eugenio Coccia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merceron United and the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Coccia. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Rodolfo Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmine Latini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agnaldo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Merceron United's zone, Ademir Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Latini came out of the goal and Ademir Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristoforo Iacomini during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cristoforo Iacomini hit a great ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Vito Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carmine Latini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Cearense went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Ademir Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carmine Latini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Sampaio in the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Christiano Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Coccia. In the 94th minute, Cristoforo Iacomini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agnaldo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
