The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Berry Giles rounded North Hill United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Marc Vermeulen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carrol McLean, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes North Hill United got a freekick which was hit by Shi Ang Xiong. In the 16th minute, Omer Vandamme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Hill United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Carrol McLean's late challenge caught a North Hill United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carrol McLean helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carrol McLean to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Mil Vandamme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Tomas Donovan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd match minute, North Hill United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shi Ang Xiong to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Donovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omer Vandamme in the 37th minute of the match. North Hill United's Marc Vermeulen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrose Keen in the 41st minute of play. If Shi Ang Xiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Marc Vermeulen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carrol McLean in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes, Shi Ang Xiong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Hill United and the Flames FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Shi Ang Xiong hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Berry Giles made a precise shot to the right of Marc Vermeulen. North Hill United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Flames FC made a substitution. Ellsworth Erwin replaced Orval Crow. In the 64th minute Berry Giles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Vermeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc Vermeulen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrose Keen in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, North Hill United's goal looked a bit too open when Berry Giles came free, but Marc Vermeulen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Horace Vaughn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omer Vandamme might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Donovan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omer Vandamme ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Flames FC booed when North Hill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brend Van Linthoudt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc Vermeulen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrose Keen in the 80th minute of the match. Carrol McLean took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc Vermeulen. Marc Vermeulen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. After 89 minutes of play, Flames FC's Ambrose Keen made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc Vermeulen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marc Vermeulen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berry Giles in the 96th minute of the match. Flames FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
