The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andres Sidro during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Ciro Henric's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Orlan was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Gavino Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Ticho in the 8th minute of play. Gavino Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Ticho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Astor Oidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Salamon in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Hermengildo Bertol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Oidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gavino Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Ticho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Hermengildo Bertol could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Astor Oidor however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Sportivo Mela Banco booed when ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristo Mitxaut fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s protests and gave Cristo Mitxaut a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Cristo Mitxaut got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute of the match Gabriel Pere shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Orlan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gavino Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Ticho in the 23rd minute of play. A hard shot 25 in the game by Gustavo Salamon from a close distance when the talented Astor Oidor managed to make a qualified save. Sportivo Mela Banco's players were relieved. In the 30th minute Eusebio Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35th play minutes Eusebio Polo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Gavino Orlan and just under the crossbar into goal. After 37 played minutes ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Salamon. Cristobal Quico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gavino Orlan came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Mela Banco's Eusebio Polo. But to his dismay, Eusebio Polo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 47th minute, Eusebio Polo made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcial Ticho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Astor Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Mitxaut in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Hermengildo Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Oidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. The Sportivo Mela Banco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Mela Banco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
