Edílson de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaggelos Koutsodimos having to make a save. Aggelos Bouratsis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. ERGOTELIS's Evaggelos Koutsodimos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edílson de Souza in the 31st minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Fabiofs's Elano de Salles made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaggelos Koutsodimos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evaggelos Koutsodimos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edílson de Souza's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. ERGOTELIS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Edílson de Souza scored to the left of an out of position Evaggelos Koutsodimos, making the score, 2-0. Elano de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Themis Nestoratos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but César Soares skillfully saved the ball. After 42 played minutes ERGOTELIS got a freekick which was hit by Themis Nestoratos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edílson de Souza in the 43rd minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Evaggelos Koutsodimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Simão hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Alkaios Mavrofidis came free, but César Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano de Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to ERGOTELIS getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Themis Nestoratos hit a great ball. Daniel Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaggelos Koutsodimos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 55 minutes, Elano de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabiofs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute Edílson de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Koutsodimos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Milton Friedman. After 68 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Elano de Salles. César Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menelaos Moutafis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 71 played minutes ERGOTELIS got a freekick which was hit by Alkaios Mavrofidis. Evaggelos Koutsodimos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edílson de Souza in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Menelaos Moutafis came free, but César Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edílson de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Evaggelos Koutsodimos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alkaios Mavrofidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giorgos Terzakis in the 86th minute. In the 87th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Terzakis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Elano de Salles hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ERGOTELIS's Giorgos Terzakis got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in ERGOTELIS's zone, Edílson de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaggelos Koutsodimos came out of the goal and Edílson de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavlos Kastanopoulos hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
