Iker Azubeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Rolando Sedeni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Firman in the 13th minute of play. Gregorio Berriotxoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Berriotxoa in the 38th minute of play forced ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gregorio Berriotxoa was slow to take the kick. During this time 0 descensos's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Froilan Dantae during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ⲨⲀⲚⲀ! Iker Azubeli went to the wrong direction when Gregorio Berriotxoa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Berriotxoa made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Estevez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Firman in the 53rd minute of play forced 0 descensos's goalkeeper Rolando Sedeni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Azubeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Berriotxoa in the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, 0 descensos's Arturo Estevez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Azubeli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's Modesto Ugaitz got a free kick in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Oxel came free, but Iker Azubeli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Iker Azubeli made a huge save. In the 78th minute of the match, Arturo Estevez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iker Azubeli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ciro Rodas hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Melchor Honrio fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 0 descensos's protests and gave Melchor Honrio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute Gregorio Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 0 descensos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 0 descensos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
