Codrin Şoimaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Wiederhold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Julius Kaiser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sorin Marian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GoooooL's Mihăiţă Ştefulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Junitz in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Bruno Wiederhold had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihăiţă Ştefulescu. GoooooL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Wiederhold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 27 played minutes GoooooL got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Neaga. In the 30th minute Franz-Josef Beckenbauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GoooooL were furious when Emanuel Cigu was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of GoooooL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of STARGARD FC:s goal. 36 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Wiederhold came free, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GoooooL's Eugen Mănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Elenescu got free with Lance Haßke in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st match minute, STARGARD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Kaiser to maneuver through the defense. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz-Josef Beckenbauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
51 minutes into the match, Eugen Mănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lance Haßke. STARGARD FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugen Mănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Calistrat Neaga came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the GoooooL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calistrat Neaga couldn't finish the play. GoooooL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Franz-Josef Beckenbauer scored to the left of an out of position Mihăiţă Ştefulescu, making the score, 1-2. 63 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Ştefulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franz-Josef Beckenbauer. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Wiederhold in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes GoooooL got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Istrătescu. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Franz-Josef Beckenbauer took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Mihăiţă Ştefulescu to make any attempt to save it. Claude Treusch kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, STARGARD FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Neaga came free, but Lance Haßke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Elenescu in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Haßke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Alex Elenescu put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Lance Haßke. In the 81st minute Alfred Junitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Mănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Haßke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugen Mănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Elenescu struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Lance Haßke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoooooL. GoooooL's Alex Elenescu got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by STARGARD FC's Franz-Josef Beckenbauer. But to his dismay, Franz-Josef Beckenbauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. If Eugen Mănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
