In the 16th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Cavazos to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Deportivo Rodriguez's Marcelo Marcello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 46 minutes into the game, Willy Brown FC's Vladimiro Dalmai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldo Hills made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Marcello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Willy Brown FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Frutos in the 53rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Mario Frutos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Waldo Hills quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Rodriguez's zone, Guilherme Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Hills came out of the goal and Guilherme Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Oxarra didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Deportivo Rodriguez's Marcelo Marcello shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 62nd minute Marcelo Marcello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Waldo Hills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Pedro Pedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
