Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zé Pedro Prestes kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Jagiellonia Denver defense, Natã Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucien Cloutier. The Jagiellonia Denver fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucien Cloutier should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Micah LeBatelier came free, but Jorge Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Jagiellonia Denver got a freekick which was hit by Micah LeBatelier. After 24 played minutes A.C. Paulistano - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Silvério de Mendonça. Micah LeBatelier succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Silvério de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natã Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Pitts kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Akis Remoundos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Paulistano - DMZ and the Jagiellonia Denver players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jagiellonia Denver booed when A.C. Paulistano - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akis Remoundos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's Jorge Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. Paulistano - DMZ from getting a goal against them. Natã Sena struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Lucien Cloutier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C. Paulistano - DMZ. Silvério de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lucien Cloutier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saul Holley made a kick off. When Cristobal Pitts came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Jagiellonia Denver fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Pitts couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Jagiellonia Denver got a freekick which was hit by Danial Edmondson. Saul Holley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Campos having to interfere. If Natã Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natã Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natã Sena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucien Cloutier came out and tried to block the shot, but Natã Sena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 90th minute. Lucien Cloutier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Sena in the 96th minute of play. The A.C. Paulistano - DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.C. Paulistano - DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
