The audience thought a goal was coming when Henri Schäppi got free with Gilberto Hernandez in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the game, Mauritz Ackerman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cura del Futbol the free kick. After 21 played minutes Tarada got a freekick which was hit by Mauritz Ackerman. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Mauritz Ackerman made the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Schäppi in the 55th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Oliver Montandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Raiola, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute.
