Santiago Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the game's 5th minute Cura del Futbol's Faustino Cordaryal took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Miguel Carneiro and thus the score was 0-1. Miguel Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Jorrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antero Rebocho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Hernandez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Rosalio in the 11th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Estrada in the 14th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Cura del Futbol's Honorato Jorrin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 29th minute, Antero Rebocho made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 39 minutes, Américo Conde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stars Academy and the Cura del Futbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's Faustino Cordaryal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Pinho to maneuver through the defense. The Stars Academy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cura del Futbol were winning 1-4.

Américo Conde was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Leoncio in the 59th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Miguel Carneiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Antero Rebocho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veríssimo Peralta in the 71st minute of play. Miguel Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Honorato Jorrin sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Antero Rebocho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Cura del Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Jorrin. Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Rebocho in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Antero Rebocho came free, but Gilberto Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Miguel Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cura del Futbol's Honorato Jorrin got a free kick in the 91st minute. Gilberto Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veríssimo Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cura del Futbol players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
