A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tiago Dionísio hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Klaas Jan Papachronopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blumenau Esporte Clube the free kick. Délio Gerber who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Juvenal Matos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 15 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Délio Gerber. A hard shot 19 in the game by Délio Gerber from a close distance when the talented Juvenal Matos managed to make a qualified save. Gonz FC's players were relieved. After 21 played minutes Gonz FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Barros. Vivaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Remir in the 24th minute of play. Juvenal Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Délio Gerber's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Gonz FC's Denis Hondo got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Délio Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonz FC's Juvenal Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vivaldo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Remir, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Vivaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Luzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gonz FC's Casimiro Barros got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Osmar da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blumenau Esporte Clube's protests and gave Osmar da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gonz FC booed when Blumenau Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Vivaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Remir in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Délio Gerber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juvenal Matos. The goal made the score 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Délio Gerber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gil Paraíba hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Denis Hondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Paraíba made a huge save. A collision led to Gonz FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Casimiro Barros hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Délio Gerber put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juvenal Matos. Gonz FC's Juvenal Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Gerber in the 67th minute of play. Juvenal Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Délio Gerber's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Gerber in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vivaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Remir in the 77th minute of play. Casimiro Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Remir got free with Vivaldo Paraíba in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the game, Durvalino Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gonz FC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Durvalino Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergio Gizon, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Justo Remir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Paraíba made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Arantes in the 90th minute of play forced Gonz FC's goalkeeper Juvenal Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Délio Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Blumenau Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio Gerber couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Gonz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Bela to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Remir in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo Paraíba saved Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting behind. Many of Gonz FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Gonz FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Blumenau Esporte Clube were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
