Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. Filip Mirciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Santana in the 7th minute of the match. Uriel Belmiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marian Morovan went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 14 minutes, Ioan Bucuță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BVB 09 and the Santa Maradona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ioan Bucuță hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Santa Maradona's Luis Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to BVB 09 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ioan Bucuță hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in BVB 09's zone, Roberto Boniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Mirciulescu came out of the goal and Roberto Boniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernan Perfecto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Sandu Bâru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Belmiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Roberto Boniel hit a great ball. Uriel Belmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Morovan's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Luis Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Filip Mirciulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filip Mirciulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernan Perfecto went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Roberto Boniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Mirciulescu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Gigel Giosu got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Marian Morovan made the kick off in the second half. Uriel Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Morovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when BVB 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Bucuță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernan Perfecto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Filip Mirciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Roberto Boniel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filip Mirciulescu, 1-4. Filip Mirciulescu was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Luis Santana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Santana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Fernan Perfecto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Filip Mirciulescu made a huge save. Roberto Boniel struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Filip Mirciulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Maradona. Luis Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Mirciulescu having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Marian Morovan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
