Zhang Cheng Ping fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Bastia having to interfere. Maximiliano Araújo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. With 44 minutes on the clock, Kai Havertz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MDQ Raptors FC:s goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tristan Alderete was the one to do the kick off. The corner led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Maximiliano Araújo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.
