GuateFortín's Carlos Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Craioveanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gheorghe Craioveanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Juan José Ferraro came free, but Laurențiu Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 39th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Seelmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gheorghe Craioveanu to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Raniolo came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Alexandria Team08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Seelmann to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Milton Umaña lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Laurențiu Popescu. Laurențiu Popescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Terciero, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Raniolo in the 86th minute of play. Carlos Navarro Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Craioveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gheorghe Craioveanu took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Navarro Montoya. Carlos Navarro Montoya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Alonso Villacorta hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Corneliu Antohi struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandria Team08.
