Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 40th minute Callum Marshall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurens Oosterman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quetzal Flyers Hammers's zone, Geert Arend Robben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Runeberg came out of the goal and Geert Arend Robben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donny van Schaik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Runeberg having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Sebastian Dusett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Geert Arend Robben got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emiel Dilling hit a great ball. Callum Marshall struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Laurens Oosterman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quetzal Flyers Hammers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geert Arend Robben in the 78th minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Thomas Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurens Oosterman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quetzal Flyers Hammers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
