Viviano Barra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Geoffroy Pernin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoffroy Pernin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efraín Ruiz Tagle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Efraín Ruiz Tagle took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Geoffroy Pernin to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the match, Valentin Bellard notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Spartans FC's Jere Klein. Jere Klein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Efraín Ruiz Tagle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute Valentin Bellard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jere Klein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Valentin Bellard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valette Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Viviano Barra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Bellard in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jere Klein saved Spartans FC from getting behind. Jere Klein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gérard Carrasso kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Spartans FC's Efraín Ruiz Tagle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geoffroy Pernin. That made the score 3-3 after 43 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Valentin Bellard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Jere Klein made a huge save. Valette Stars's Nathanaël Lecluse suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gonzalo Tapia's late challenge caught a Valette Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Tapia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Valette Stars booed when Spartans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Tapia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Valette Stars's Eddy Raoult shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jere Klein came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valette Stars reached it. 57 minutes into the game, Valentin Bellard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Jere Klein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valentin Bellard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jere Klein having to interfere. Valentin Bellard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jere Klein came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentin Bellard slotted it home off the left post making it 3-5 in the 61st minute. Julien Le Pen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jere Klein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoffroy Pernin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efraín Ruiz Tagle in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alix Delange during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Spartans FC booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alix Delange didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Valentin Bellard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valette Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Bellard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jere Klein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Spartans FC's Jere Klein got control of the ball when Valentin Bellard tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Spartans FC's Viviano Barra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geoffroy Pernin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-6. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Valette Stars eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
