Jailson Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. If Marcelino Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Marcelino Playo sped through Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xandinho Bomba. Xandinho Bomba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Ferrell in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisão de Salles during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luisão de Salles hit a great ball. Travis Walters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Barber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Hugo Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Playo made a kick off. Travis Walters stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jailson Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Xandinho Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Playo in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Jailson Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Travis Walters. Jailson Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Silvério Barral was substituted for Ronaldinho Lima. Xandinho Bomba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelino Playo went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After 67 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Neil Ginn. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Gonçalves got free with Travis Walters in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gugu Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Travis Walters made a huge save. In the 75th minute of the match Ampthill FC got a corner. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neil Ginn ran over to the corner to take the kick. Travis Walters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ampthill FC's Sid Barber got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 85 played minutes Silvério Barral scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Travis Walters who was too lazy, 3-3. 91 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Ferrell came free, but Xandinho Bomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jailson Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Travis Walters came out and tried to block the shot, but Gugu Silva slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
