Xandinho Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Lorencio in the 17th minute of play. Bernabe Dalmau struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Xandinho Bomba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madison. In the 26th minute, Hernan Uzuri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xandinho Bomba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Xandinho Bomba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristides Lorencio went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Jailson Gonçalves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Moises Lon. The goal made the score 1-2. Madison's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Jailson Gonçalves scored to the left of an out of position Moises Lon, making the score, 2-2. In the 43rd minute Jailson Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Lon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xandinho Bomba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristides Lorencio went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Gonçalves in the 52nd minute of play forced Madison's goalkeeper Moises Lon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gugu Silva hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Humberto Eliu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Xandinho Bomba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aristides Lorencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisão de Salles during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xandinho Bomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Dalmau in the 67th minute of the match. Jailson Gonçalves took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moises Lon. Moises Lon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Madison made a substitution. Marcial Feliu replaced Humberto Eliu. When Rui Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's protests and gave Rui Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the game, one of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Xandinho Bomba went to the wrong direction when Faustino Avellaneda was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Aristides Lorencio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Xandinho Bomba firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jailson Gonçalves scored 4-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moises Lon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xandinho Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Uzuri in the 98th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Madison failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
