The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, U.D. Mancini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isandro Esperta to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Belarmo Bartumeu made a precise shot to the right of Olav Øverby. Brufoss IL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Barto Ribas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U.D. Mancini's Isandro Esperta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kenneth Foldnes in the 11 minute of the game. Porfiro Zapater made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bastian Ytterstad sent off a good shot on target. Leif Mæhlum succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Bastian Ytterstad came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Porfiro Zapater could save by the left post. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belarmo Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Belarmo Bartumeu sped through Brufoss IL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bastian Ytterstad got free with Porfiro Zapater in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Emanuel Markham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Porfiro Zapater. U.D. Mancini's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Markham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Olav Øverby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belarmo Bartumeu in the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Markham to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Belarmo Bartumeu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olav Øverby was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belarmo Bartumeu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olav Øverby saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. Olav Øverby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belarmo Bartumeu in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of U.D. Mancini booed when Brufoss IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bastian Ytterstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Kasper Munkvold replaced Leif Mæhlum. Bastian Ytterstad hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Are Høiby threw the ball into play from the sideline. U.D. Mancini's Isandro Esperta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Olav Øverby was a little too slow when Javier Barberá got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-4. 91 minutes into the game, Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Porfiro Zapater made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Javier Barberá managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.D. Mancini's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Barberá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olav Øverby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of U.D. Mancini echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Brufoss IL had held the ball for most of the match.
