Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandros Vikelidis in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florin Quelia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragón F.C's Toli Bailina got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Alexandros Vikelidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Quelia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manos Melogiannis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Pereta in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Sheriff getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alekos Lazarakis hit a great ball. Panos Zervidis's late challenge caught a Golden Dragón F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panos Zervidis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Panos Zervidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sheriff's Manos Melogiannis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. If Grigoris Kasnakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pereta came free, but Manos Melogiannis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandros Vikelidis was the one to do the kick off. Lluc Castillejo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Inacio Andres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniil Masourakis charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniil Masourakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when Sheriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniil Masourakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florin Quelia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos in the 75th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Dimitris Kapopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Melogiannis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Pereta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Golden Dragón F.C got a freekick which was hit by Toli Bailina. Sheriff were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
