Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Jeremy Bonello made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 minutes, Dante Nalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patadura FC and the Attard Gunners players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Patadura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Txurio in the 10th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Jeremy Bonello rounded Patadura FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Lawrence De Marco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardo Laurgain came out and tried to block the shot, but Lawrence De Marco slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Bernardo Laurgain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilbert Manduca in the 25th minute. Bernardo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Manduca in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Gilbert Manduca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Laurgain. Gilbert Manduca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Joshua Demanuele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Bernardo Laurgain made a huge save. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Txurio in the 41st minute of play. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Txurio in the 42nd minute of play. Patadura FC were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Attard Gunners's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Denis Abancens took the corner. The corner led Patadura FC's Denis Abancens to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeo Rapinett despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Patadura FC defense, Lawrence De Marco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Laurgain. The Patadura FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Laurgain should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Txurio was the one to do the kick off. If Gilbert Manduca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett got control of the ball when Esteve Nastasio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Lawrence De Marco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Josh Triganza fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Attard Gunners's protests and gave Josh Triganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josh Triganza to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes, Patadura FC's Denis Abancens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Patadura FC reached it. Bernardo Laurgain came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Attard Gunners's Mario Pullicino. But to his dismay, Mario Pullicino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Patadura FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Attard Gunners:s goal. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Attard Gunners. Joshua Demanuele stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernardo Laurgain. 7-0. In the 74th minute, Jeremy Bonello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Attard Gunners fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. A collision led to Patadura FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dante Nalo hit a great ball. When Lawrence De Marco came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Attard Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lawrence De Marco couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Bonello in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Patadura FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Benitez. Attard Gunners's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
