The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulysses Xavier's late challenge caught a FC ICEWIND DALE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to DJVAGALUMY FC. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ulysses Xavier hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Abelardo Neiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emil Zawadzki. Emil Zawadzki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Kléber Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliks Jarosiewicz went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Patryk Ranowiecki scored 1-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kléber Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emil Zawadzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Neiva in the 26th minute of play. Stefano Fiore kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. FC ICEWIND DALE's Maksymilian Kajfasz was substituted for Stefano Fiore. After 29 played minutes FC ICEWIND DALE got a freekick which was hit by Stefano Fiore. Emil Zawadzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid de Alcântara in the 30th minute of the match. Kléber Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Bazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 33 played minutes FC ICEWIND DALE got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Czerniak. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Veiga during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Borges in the 38th minute of play forced FC ICEWIND DALE's goalkeeper Emil Zawadzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Feliks Jarosiewicz notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Kléber Abreu. Kléber Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Patryk Ranowiecki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléber Abreu. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patryk Ranowiecki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Mutu to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Deivid de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Zawadzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, FC ICEWIND DALE's Feliks Jarosiewicz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kléber Abreu. Kléber Abreu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. In the 72nd minute, Adrian Mutu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kléber Abreu. The goal made the score 1-7. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Túlio Ceresso put in a rough tackle. Túlio Ceresso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Patryk Ranowiecki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC ICEWIND DALE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8.
