The tension between the Nouvelle Vague and the Les Pionniers de Touraine players grew even worse after the yellow card. 90 minutes into the game, one of Nouvelle Vague:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Régis Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Argi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Paulino Bero put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Régis Bastian. Nouvelle Vague were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Les Pionniers de Touraine to leave the ground with a draw.
