Cosme Cimbron took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theobald Manjon. Theobald Manjon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Efren Domao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Playa Malvín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After 14 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Mikolas Zarzuelo. Erasto Quizan made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Pedrão Prestes sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Udo Nigula came free, but Erasto Quizan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Udo Nigula struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Erasto Quizan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE LAJEADENSE RS. Erasto Quizan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrão Prestes in the 30th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Alberino Riesco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Playa Malvín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Alberino Riesco got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Playa Malvín's zone, Caetano Saad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasto Quizan came out of the goal and Caetano Saad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theobald Manjon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Tate in the 39th minute of play. After 43 minutes, Vasco Teijelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Playa Malvín and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís Gustavo Siqueira was substituted for Emil Fărcășan. After 44 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Teijelo. Erasto Quizan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Udo Nigula, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Theobald Manjon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Tate, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Playa Malvín's Erasto Quizan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Saad in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tristan Tate to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Mauricio Bitxintxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute of the match Leon Ciriaca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theobald Manjon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tristan Tates short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Theobald Manjon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 56 minutes into the game, Pedrão Prestes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Erasto Quizan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Udo Nigula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 63rd minute Cosme Cimbron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theobald Manjon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Leon Ciriaca got a free kick in the 64th minute. Erasto Quizan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Prestes in the 69th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Udo Nigula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Erasto Quizan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute Cosme Cimbron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theobald Manjon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Playa Malvín had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
