Sydney Ross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juras Dikšas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manly FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moose Knuckles the free kick. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manly FC's goalkeeper Sydney Ross, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sydney Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Kjellqvist in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Ace Goodwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vecdet Baştürk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Moose Knuckles booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bishop Delbridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Svajūnas Ričkus made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Bruno Domenichetti sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes Manly FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juras Dikšas in the 44th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Sydney Ross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vecdet Baştürk to make the kick off. If Juras Dikšas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vecdet Baştürk made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Manly FC's Bruno Domenichetti. Moose Knuckles's Vecdet Baştürk was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Moose Knuckles booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Elliott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moose Knuckles's Jaunius Balčaitis was substituted for Vecdet Baştürk. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Harvey Elliott got a free kick in the 68th minute.
