Spectators: 8042 (Terracing: 6032, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Dirk Lubbers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fernandinho Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jan-Peter Wansink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Ivo Henselmans with Slim Shady as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Fernandinho Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredinho Freitas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jan-Peter Wansink made a huge save. Christiano Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Koekkoek in the 21st minute of the match. Fernandinho Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Peter Wansink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Jan-Peter Wansink came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Alfredinho Freitas. But to his dismay, Alfredinho Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Slim Shady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute Fernandinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Peter Wansink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Koekkoek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Negri made a kick off. In the 54th minute Fernandinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Peter Wansink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Peter Wansink having to interfere. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gilson Salles hit a great ball. Christiano Arce was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Egbert Fleur. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Freitas in the 79th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Jan-Peter Wansink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Miroslaw Modrzewski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fokke Cornelisse in the 82 minute of the game. Basílio Rosa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of Winthont FC booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Peter Wansink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Negri in the 93rd minute of play. SORRISO E. C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Winthont FC for a fine match.
