Leandro Damiãos short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Gunnar Jakobsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Nóbrega in the 18th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernabe Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Grêmio RK75 defense, Rickard Söderberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Taffarel. The Grêmio RK75 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Taffarel should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute Rickard Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rickard Söderberg made the kick off in the second half. Matias Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Rickard Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. Grêmio RK75's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
