Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Maltez in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbson Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Renatinho Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Humberto Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dewa Cinta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qu Bin Feng to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Dorian do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dewa Cinta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Régis de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Paulino Maltez struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Róbson Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Clube de Gaya. In the 44thth minute of the game Dorian do Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube de Gaya's Dewa Cinta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Merusca F&P - CIMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sporting Clube de Gaya made a substitution. Severiano Torcato replaced Dimas Candeias. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Pitta was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Marques. After 57 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Régis de Souza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Maltez in the 58th minute of play forced Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Róbson Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewa Cinta made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Humberto Pitta sent off a good shot on target. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Luizinho Messias replaced Régis de Souza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian do Vale in the 70th minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Dewa Cinta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Cedro came free, but Róbson Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dewa Cinta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alberto Dias's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube de Gaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Alberto Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Róbson Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Cedro in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian do Vale in the 84th minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Dewa Cinta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewa Cinta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dewa Cinta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
