Theatre of Hell
Spectators: 8415 (Terracing: 6312,
Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. George Pearch started the match with the kick off. If Glyn Everard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Wolfpack™'s Gennaro Carabajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glyn Everard in the 6th minute of play. Gennaro Carabajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pearch in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glyn Everard in the 12th minute of play forced The Wolfpack™'s goalkeeper Gennaro Carabajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, The Wolfpack™'s Patrik Verlinden got a free kick in the 14th minute. Leicester Lions's Luke Deveraux suffered a sore thigh after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Leicester Lions made a substitution. Adam Bettney replaced Luke Deveraux. Patrik Verlinden kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 minutes, Glyn Everard made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Wolfpack™'s Gennaro Carabajal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of The Wolfpack™ booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Dyson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes, The Wolfpack™'s Cadwaladr Carabajal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Callum Barratt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Wolfpack™ reached it. Gennaro Carabajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Everard in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that George Pearch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gennaro Carabajal was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. George Pearch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennaro Carabajal having to interfere. After 33 minutes The Wolfpack™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Glyn Everard who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Leicester Lions's corner Glyn Everard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gennaro Carabajal quite easily take care of the ball. The Leicester Lions fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Leicester Lions's George Pearch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pearch in the 37th minute of play forced The Wolfpack™'s goalkeeper Gennaro Carabajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, George Pearch put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gennaro Carabajal. If Glyn Everard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, The Wolfpack™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maarten Coomans to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maarten Coomans to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glyn Everard in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gennaro Carabajal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gennaro Carabajal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Buster Cheesman went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Glyn Everard sped through The Wolfpack™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gennaro Carabajal. George Pearch did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Gennaro Carabajal 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, The Wolfpack™'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after George Pearch fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gennaro Carabajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Everard in the 66th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, George Pearch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Pearch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gennaro Carabajal stood somewhat misplaced when Ralph Masters came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 72 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Glyn Everard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leicester Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Glyn Everard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gennaro Carabajal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gennaro Carabajal stood somewhat misplaced when George Pearch came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 83 minute. After 89 minutes of play, Leicester Lions's George Pearch made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gennaro Carabajal was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Leicester Lions left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Wolfpack™.
