After a defensive mix-up in Karaboudjan's zone, Miliano Fontaner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Baptista came out of the goal and Miliano Fontaner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Costa Pacífico FC's Camilo Quinchen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Baptista. Miguel Baptista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. A hard shot 33 in the game by Camilo Quinchen from a close distance when the talented Miguel Baptista managed to make a qualified save. Karaboudjan's players were relieved. Miguel Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Quinchen in the 34th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camilo Quinchen to make the kick off. The supporters of Karaboudjan booed when Costa Pacífico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriel Riffo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugênio Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Sergio Livingstone made a huge save. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Sandrinho Neves hit a great ball. Amauri Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eugênio Tasso scored 3-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Livingstone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 played minutes Costa Pacífico FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Miranda. Chico Ramos, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Costa Pacífico FC had won after a very even match.
