Jacky Silvestri was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrik Mäder in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Smitt saved Karen FC from getting behind. Bror Ahlfors's late challenge caught a FC Stadtclub's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bror Ahlfors helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bror Ahlfors hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Henrik Mäder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Stadtclub booed when Karen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Cornetti in the 13th minute of play. Hunter Colloriti hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, FC Stadtclub's goalkeeper Jacky Silvestri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Hegg. In the 19th minute Karen FC were awarded a corner. Linus Brovall went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Karen FC's Linus Brovall to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacky Silvestri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Goran Guerra put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of FC Stadtclub:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karen FC:s goal. Dan Hegg took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacky Silvestri. Jacky Silvestri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gibson Dürst came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Åke Smitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Cornetti in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Linus Brovall hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Hegg was the one to do the kick off. 5-0 became the score in the 61st minute when Sven-Olof Dahlberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Stadtclub defense, Dan Hegg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacky Silvestri. The FC Stadtclub fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacky Silvestri should have stopped the shot. FC Stadtclub's Jacky Silvestri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Hegg in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Quintin Steiner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Stadtclub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karen FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Hegg in the 81st minute of play forced FC Stadtclub's goalkeeper Jacky Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Hegg took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacky Silvestri. Jacky Silvestri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ulf Nyberg hit a great ball. If Dick Cornetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Linus Brovall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Stadtclub's Harold Baum got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karen FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
