The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Serafin Tono hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes, Åhus Absolut F.C's Jan Bergsten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evaristo Xacintu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åhus Absolut F.C reached it. 11 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arne Nord came free, but Evaristo Xacintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Sidro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Astor Berart scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronny Åkerman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 minutes of play, Q. T. I.'s German Veto made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronny Åkerman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nemesio Sidro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Laureano Mercurio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Åhus Absolut F.C's Jan Bergsten got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Berart in the 30th minute of play forced Åhus Absolut F.C's goalkeeper Ronny Åkerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Goyo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Q. T. I.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gaudencio Chucho hit a great ball. Åhus Absolut F.C's Jan Bergsten couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Q. T. I.. In the 40th match minute, Åhus Absolut F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Larsfält to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Åkerman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lorenzo Goyo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskar Broberg made a kick off. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivar Larsfält's late challenge caught a Q. T. I.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivar Larsfält helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Lorenzo Goyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Per-Olof Bengtsson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, Q. T. I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Bergsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Veto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ronny Åkerman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Skott hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Beckeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolf Beckeman kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Åhus Absolut F.C's Ronny Åkerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Menendo in the 87th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Arne Nord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Jaime Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Åkerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Arne Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åhus Absolut F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Nord was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Xacintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sten Skott was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 97th minute.
