Spectators: 7574 (Terracing: 5682, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Baldomiro Quintin made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Teobaldo Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Venceslao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Chorche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teobaldo Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Chorche having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Bartolo Ezkerra notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of San Martin de Tucumán's Feliciano Chorche. Feliciano Chorche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19 played minutes Venezia FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Ondino. Amado Larra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Quintin in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Venezia FC's Teobaldo Venceslao dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Venezia FC's Bartolo Ezkerra got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If JohnObi Mikel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Leon Chico in the 30th minute really tested Feliciano Chorche's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Arturo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Chorche having to interfere. The supporters of Venezia FC booed when San Martin de Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Quirze didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Venceslao in the 45th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Feliciano Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Ezkerra was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of San Martin de Tucumán booed when Venezia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Martin de Tucumán's Baldomiro Quintin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 56 minutes, Leon Chico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezia FC and the San Martin de Tucumán players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Quintin in the 58th minute of play forced Venezia FC's goalkeeper Amado Larra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Feliciano Chorche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bartolo Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Honorio Eufemio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute of the match Clemente Rodriguez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliciano Chorche skillfully saved the ball. Honorio Eufemio hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de Tucumán's zone, Bartolo Ezkerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Chorche came out of the goal and Bartolo Ezkerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JohnObi Mikel hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to San Martin de Tucumán getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nicanor Chesus hit a great ball. Feliciano Chorche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolo Ezkerra's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Amado Larra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Quintin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Quintin in the 85th minute of play forced Venezia FC's goalkeeper Amado Larra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Chorche came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Venezia FC's Bartolo Ezkerra. But to his dismay, Bartolo Ezkerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Feliciano Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Ezkerra in the 96th minute of play. Venezia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
