Spectators: 7476 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Otávio Sarmento took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Kieran Craven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Berdaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Otávio Sarmento got a free kick in the 8th minute. John Paul Basham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Mateus, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Jacob Mayall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Mayall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basilio Mateus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but John Paul Basham firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickey Townsend in the 24th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Romeo Berdaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Tirso hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Cebo to maneuver through the defense. Nicky Brown made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mickey Townsend immediately put the ball in play. Real Chelsea's Jacob Mayall got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Real Chelsea's Mickey Townsend fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Romeo Berdaitz was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mickey Townsend stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jacob Mayall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Chelsea's Kieran Craven got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seb Lindley got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jacob Mayall. In the 74th minute, Basilio Mateus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Tirso didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Paul Basham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Mateus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Romeo Berdaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kieran Craven in the 96th minute of play. Real Chelsea's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sarmiento de Resistencia had won, even though Real Chelsea had held more of the ball.
