Jailson Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. Generoso Eyague lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 6 minutes into the match, Jailson Gonçalves notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Defensores del Albinegro's Victor Jakes. Victor Jakes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leopoldo Felipillo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Jailson Gonçalvess short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Victor Jakes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Defensores del Albinegro getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Teodosio Markel hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores del Albinegro the free kick. Marquinhos Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Victor Jakes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Gonçalves in the 23rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Defensores del Albinegro's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Gonçalves came free, but Victor Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Iraido charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Iraido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Defensores del Albinegro fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Defensores del Albinegro's Ariel Iraido looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Albinegro's Leopoldo Felipillo got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute, Eriberto Ofelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ariel Iraido to strike the kick off in the second half. Defensores del Albinegro's Ariel Iraido got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Crescencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Bezerra having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Silva. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodosio Markel during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teodosio Markel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Claudinei Marques was substituted for Gláuber Rosa. In the 61st minute of the match Gugu Silva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Jakes skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd minute Giuseppe da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Jakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe da Costa in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Jakes saved Defensores del Albinegro from getting behind. Damaso Crescencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ernesto Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
