The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Kirilov got free with Ceyhun Koyas in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute Hazım Hastimur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kubrat Radunov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, Marko Kirilov made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. istanbulls's Ceyhun Koyas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Velcho Itev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, SvE United's Genko Klyashev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Genko Klyashev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SvE United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Genko Klyashev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 33rd minute, one of SvE United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SvE United. The referee gave istanbulls a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mustafa Ali Pala, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SvE United's Kubrat Radunov. 1-2. Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kubrat Radunov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velcho Itev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Hazım Hastimur came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the istanbulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hazım Hastimur couldn't finish the play. SvE United's Kubrat Radunov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hazım Hastimur in the 60th minute of play. When Velcho Itev came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the SvE United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Velcho Itev couldn't finish the play. The supporters of istanbulls booed when SvE United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stavri Novakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hazım Hastimur's late challenge caught a SvE United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hazım Hastimur helped the player get up and apologised. Velcho Itev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ceyhun Koyas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute, İsmail Hakkı Mahşer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, SvE United's goal looked a bit too open when Hazım Hastimur came free, but Kubrat Radunov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haydar Özdinç got free with Kubrat Radunov in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The SvE United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching istanbulls's performance. The match ended with a win for istanbulls.
