The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Fábio Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Wiseman in the 8th minute of the match. The referee ignored Phoenix Fc's protests and gave Alfredinho Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredinho Nogueira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Phoenix Fc's Adhemar Teles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ronaldo Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Kris Renner kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to T H F C getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Graeme Tompkins hit a great ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted Wiseman made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adhemar Teles in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Goodwick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, Sidney Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Goodwick was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 58th minute, Ted Wiseman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Teles in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Goodwick saved T H F C from getting behind. Julian Goodwick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Teles's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Teles in the 64th minute of play forced T H F C's goalkeeper Julian Goodwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Goodwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Pombal in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Fc's Alfredinho Nogueira got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Adhemar Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but T H F C's Julian Goodwick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ted Wiseman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Luís Fábio Bezerra made a huge save. Ted Wiseman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phoenix Fc's Eriberto Mazza was substituted for Ronaldo Camargo. Jo Timiney hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Adhemar Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but T H F C's Julian Goodwick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. T H F C's Julian Goodwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Mazza in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Phoenix Fc's Luís Fábio Bezerra got control of the ball when Ted Wiseman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by T H F C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Betão Azevedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Phoenix Fc's players had a chance to rest. 89 minutes into the match, Phoenix Fc's Sidney Pombal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julian Goodwick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Adhemar Teles sped through T H F C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julian Goodwick. Julian Goodwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Teles in the 96th minute of the match.
