With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco de Amorim in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Reis saved Leões do Sul 53 from getting behind. Claudinho Arósio scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizão Braga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Davi Proença hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Almeida in the 26th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Luizão Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco de Amorim in the 29th minute of play. Glauco de Amorim spun around in front of the goal 30 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Leões do Sul 53's goal. Egídio Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glauco de Amorim's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Batista to maneuver through the defense. Kiko de Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kiko de Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kiko de Lima hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Dida Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Egídio Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco de Amorim in the 47th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedé Almeida during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Egídio Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Batista in the 77th minute of the match. Egídio Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Egídio Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
