Alan Alajaan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Lanting in the 11th minute of play. Sjef Klein hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Eiko Kurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Walstra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Sjef Klein. Emil Walstra came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Muuga United's Eiko Kurm. But to his dismay, Eiko Kurm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Eiko Kurm came free, but Emil Walstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Kevin Rolink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Walstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eiko Kurm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eiko Kurm was the one to do the kick off. Alan Alajaan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Bosstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Carels in the 56th minute of play forced FC Muuga United's goalkeeper Alan Alajaan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anton Liik came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FC Muuga United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Liik couldn't finish the play. Alan Alajaan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Lanting in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Carlo Bosstraeten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Muuga United's Alan Alajaan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Bosstraeten in the 68th minute of play. De Kasteelheren's Emil Walstra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. Emil Walstra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eiko Kurm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. De Kasteelheren's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Eiko Kurm scored to the left of an out of position Emil Walstra, making the score, 1-4. 83 minutes into the game, De Kasteelheren's Erwin Lanting nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alan Alajaan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 87th minute, Erwin Lanting left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Kasteelheren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Muuga United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
