Gaspar Camerino might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Baranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Camerino ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximiliano Araújo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. 18 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Alexandro Herreria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban Jordy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. El Patriarca ®'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Maximiliano Araújo scored to the left of an out of position Esteban Jordy, making the score, 2-0. Timoteo Baranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Panfilo in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josu Mori in the 34th minute of play forced El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Esteban Jordy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when El Patriarca ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Justin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Esteban Jordy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Araújo. Esteban Jordy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josu Mori in the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Araújo got free with Esteban Jordy in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, El Patriarca ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Alexandro Herreria came free, but Esteban Jordy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Jordy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Bueras in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Alvaro Bueras got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximiliano Araújo made a kick off. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when El Patriarca ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Panfilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josu Mori in the 57th minute of play forced El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Esteban Jordy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Alvaro Bueras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Jordy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Cristobal Fertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Leo Fernández got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Josu Mori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esteban Jordy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Josu Mori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Josu Mori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Jordy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. El Patriarca ®'s Gaspar Camerino got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timoteo Baranda was a little too slow when Remigio Panfilo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 3-1. Esteban Jordy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Araújo in the 88th minute of play. El Patriarca ®'s Esteban Jordy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josu Mori in the 89th minute of play. Josu Mori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fully deserved thier win.
