Ciro Biondi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomás Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Iovine came free, but Jorge Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Squadra de Pippe's Enrico Valeri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Jorge Simão made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Domenico Barchiesi sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Pedrão Paranaense seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedrão Paranaense the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Floripa Lions FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedrão Paranaense had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Jorge Simão, was totally fooled by Squadra de Pippe's Augusto Iovine, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Domenico Barchiesi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Enrico Valeri kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Jorge Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Valeri in the 40th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Luiz Proença during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Squadra de Pippe booed when Floripa Lions FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano Terra to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Floripa Lions FSCMZ defense, Francesco Sardella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Simão. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Simão should have stopped the shot. Walmir Trancoso hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Augusto Iovine shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Simão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. André Luiz Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Biondi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Hélder Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Daniele Luongo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Simão. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniele Luongo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Jorge Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Barchiesi in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Di Gennaro in the 68th minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Jorge Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrico Valeri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Ciro Biondi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomás Gaspar. In the 83rd minute Enrico Valeri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Biondi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Terra in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Thomás Gaspar got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 88 played minutes, Squadra de Pippe's Augusto Iovine shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Simão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Squadra de Pippe reached it. Jorge Simão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francesco Sardella went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Squadra de Pippe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
