The audience was convinced that Artur Topolski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erling Bergfelt was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Topolski to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Sven-Åke Gadd could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Radomir Bienienda however easily saved by the left post. Sakarias Hellbom who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Radomir Bienienda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Radomir Bienienda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Gadd in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Bratt in the 59th minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Radomir Bienienda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Bratt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomir Bienienda having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match, Jim Bratt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Radomir Bienienda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Radomir Bienienda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Bratt, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hugon Mios hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jim Bratt charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sakarias Hellbom took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radomir Bienienda. Radomir Bienienda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The Joga Bonito players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
