Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Karl-Axel Bröms made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, NovaStella FK's Anton Bergren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Herzog made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gustaf Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius-Lasse Eichenauer in the 8th minute of play. Karl-Axel Bröms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eric Herzog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Åke Hellström's late challenge caught a Poli Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Hellström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when NovaStella FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Hellström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Wörns to maneuver through the defense. Poli Timisoara's Robin Wörns managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hans Hellström in the 24 minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Hellström came free, but Eric Herzog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Karl-Axel Bröms in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Poli Timisoara's Ulrich Tschida. In the 35th minute Sven-Åke Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Herzog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulrich Tschida charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulrich Tschida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulrich Tschida hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Sven-Åke Hellström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NovaStella FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Eric Herzog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Bröms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes of play, NovaStella FK's Sven-Åke Hellström made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Herzog was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Kannen was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Anton Bergren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Herzog came out of the goal and Anton Bergren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Karl-Axel Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Bergren took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Herzog. Eric Herzog dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Eric Herzog made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Hans Hellström sent off a good shot on target. If Jan Kannen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Håkan Nässén kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric Herzog. That made the score 0-8 in the 77 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Axel Bröms in the 80th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Eric Herzog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Herzog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poli Timisoara's Eric Herzog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Axel Bröms in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of NovaStella FK booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kannen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Herzog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Åke Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Duset in the 91st minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Eric Herzog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poli Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NovaStella FK the free kick. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Anton Bergren came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eric Herzog could save by the left post.
