Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanislas Salingue hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Gregory Fink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Loup Guérinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calvin Miel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Napier in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Lunar Park's goalkeeper Calvin Miel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Napier. After 45 minutes, Pierre-Loup Guérinet made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Rodriguez's Gregory Fink tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geoff Ackerman to strike the kick off in the second half. Steve Napier hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Calvin Miel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoff Ackerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Curt Barrios hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Gilbert Labrousse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Lunar Park's goal looked a bit too open when Curt Barrios came free, but Calvin Miel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Gregory Fink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Steve Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lunar Park were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Deportivo Rodriguez's much stronger midfield.
