In the 12th match minute, Manfredi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Tiadoro to maneuver through the defense. Omar Gayo took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andres Gabon. Andres Gabon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 22 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Urki. 24 minutes into the match, Diego Carredano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andres Gabon. Manfredi AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Carredano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Diego Carredano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manfredi AFC the free kick. In the 27th minute, Diego Carredano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Tiadoro came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Gayo in the 33rd minute of play. After 37 minutes, Alfredo Rioboo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Manfredi AFC's Andres Gabon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Benitez during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Jacinto Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute of the match Enrique Antonijoan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Gabon skillfully saved the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Jose Iyan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manfredi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alfredo Rioboo made the kick off in the second half. Xuoco Canal's late challenge caught a Manfredi AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xuoco Canal helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 minutes of play, Manfredi AFC's Gregorio Tiadoro made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinicio Collado was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Omar Gayo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Astillero del Guayas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Gayo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Jax during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Jax. Diego Carredano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manfredi AFC's Andres Gabon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Manfredi AFC from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Rioboo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Astillero del Guayas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Andres Gabon made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alfredo Rioboo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Rioboo in the 92nd minute of play forced Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Andres Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredi AFC's Gregorio Tiadoro got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 minutes, Ximenez Sobrino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astillero del Guayas and the Manfredi AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ximenez Sobrino hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Melchor Dalmau notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado. Vinicio Collado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
