Aad Spiering scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniele Masi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fedele Carulli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Simon van Bronckhorst made a huge save. After 30 minutes of play, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Rinus Franssen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniele Masi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th match minute, Lilywhites was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Ranieri to maneuver through the defense. Rinus Franssen struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Daniele Masi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Gregorian Juniors.
