Witalis Malik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurjen van der Gun having to interfere. In the 13th minute Kajetan Budzyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurjen van der Gun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Klejnowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jurjen van der Gun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Kajetan Budzyn came free, but Jurjen van der Gun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witalis Malik in the 22nd minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jurjen van der Gun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jasper Jonker kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Klejnowski in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jurjen van der Gun saved Seagulls from getting behind. Jacco Bouwman in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wawrzyniec Plucinik, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Seagulls's Jurjen van der Gun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan Budzyn in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ton Stolte to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacco Bouwman was the one to do the kick off. Bill Dol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Plucinik having to interfere. Joep Haremeijer kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Roman Klejnowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Jurjen van der Gun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Kajetan Budzyn put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jurjen van der Gun. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the PTB Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
