Washington Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agamenón Ruiz in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Fabiano Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Washington Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alvino Galnares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Britto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolao Aguado went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neron Companys in the 25th minute of play forced AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goalkeeper Renan Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Salud y República's Agamenón Ruiz got a free kick in the 31st minute. A collision led to Salud y República getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nicolao Aguado hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Juvenal Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Dominguez hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jairo Guedes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agamenón Ruiz was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Nicolao Aguado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salud y República's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolao Aguado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renan Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neron Companys, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Renan Britto got control of the ball when Nicolao Aguado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo de Castro. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Renan Britto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolao Aguado during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ booed when Salud y República was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolao Aguado didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neron Companys in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Britto saved AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ from getting behind. Renan Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neron Companys, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Salud y República were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's much stronger midfield.
